


Heritage Fruit Tree Catalogue 2009 / 2010In order to assist conservation, we sell local variety fruit trees for small or large scale plantings. Our tree catalogue of the named varieties from all of the seven counties in our region includes some new additions this year. Our new tree catalogue will be published in September, but we are happy to accept orders at any time using the 2009-10 catalogue. All of our stock fruit trees are grown in West Norfolk on rootstocks that create half standard sized trees. These are ideal for gardens, allotments, schools and community projects, growing to a very manageable size of about 10-12ft in height with a spread of about 10ft. Depending on the vigour of the actual variety they will fruit by year three after planting, sometimes starting in year two. Trees on these rootstocks may also be trained into fans, espaliers and cordons. The semi-vigorous rootstocks we use are: For customers with more space and wishing to recreate traditional orchards using standard sized trees - including farmers and landowners in Higher Level Stewardship agreements - we also provide a graft-to-order service for all of the varieties listed in our catalogue. These trees are also suitable for amenity landscape projects, growing to about 12-20ft in height with a spread of around 15ft. Depending on the vigour of the variety fruiting will occur in year five or take longer.
